Facility Development Plans

FLOODLIGHTING

The club committee are conscious of the wet and muddy condition of the training pitch which is the only floodlit area we have. Subsequently this gets a lot of use. In an effort to ease this problem we have been looking into the possibility of buying a second hand mobile light rig which can be located almost anywhere. To take this forward the committee are investigating a source of funding. Also we need to get a lighting unit on site to see if it will meet our needs but to date this has not been possible.

ADDITIONAL FACILITIES

Stewartry RFC has been approached by a sponsor with a view to building a new shed. As well as other things this could allow us to provide a proper weight training room to replace the less than ideal arrangement we have had in recent years. This project is at an early stage with various council and other agencies permissions required. Also the club needs to look for funding to enable the shed to be fitted out according to needs. Meetings with the sponsor are progressing.
