John Muir, Stewartry Rugby Development Officer, will be visiting Primarys starting in March to tie in the the Rugby Clubs Mini Season. John will be looking to give you the schools 4 weeks of rugby during their PE time. And a chance to play against other schools in a festival at the end of the 4 weeks.

Castle Douglas Primary School took part in the Food Standards Agency/Scottish Rugby Union Healthy Eating project
They received 3 weeks of Food Hygiene and 3 weeks of Healthy Eating education in class-room based lessons. Each lesson was accompanied by a Rugby Session in which kids will needed to answer questions on what they have learned during the project as well as enjoying fun Rugby Games.
Each child received a goody bag and the school will receive rugby kit to continue rugby in their school.
The programme started on 18th February 2011 and finished with the rugby festival on the 6th May.
