Back in 1970 a group of locals gathered up at the Market Inn at 8pm on a Friday.

They discussed what is known today as Stewartry Rugby Football Club.
The Friday afternoon Stewartry Rugby Football Club was reformed and well…as they say, the rest is history.

P.S The original colours of the club jerseys were white – but they proved to difficult to keep white.
So “the blacks” were born a bit later on.
